Trevor Vander Doelen

Trevor Vander Doelen graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Kinesiology.  He recently graduated from the the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is now a Doctor of Chiropractic.

While at Laurentian University, he served as the athletic trainer/manager of the varsity men’s basketball team where he took an active role in acute injury care and injury prevention through functional performance training.  Trevor’s interest in exercise physiology inspired his thesis involving endurance cyclists entitled, “Examining muscle oxygenation and activation of the vastus lateralis while cycling at the power output corresponding to VO2 max”.

Trevor also has knowledge of swim stroke mechanics, having worked in aquatics as a swimming instructor and lifeguard for over 10 years. His passion as a lifeguard/instructor led him to a Gold Medal at the Toronto Lifeguard Championships in 2008 as well as a Toronto EMS Citizenship Award in 2010.

As a personal trainer at Absolute Endurance, Trevor enjoys working with clients of all ages, fitness levels, and motivations.  He provides functional fitness assessments examining strength, power, endurance, and joint mechanics to implement a customized training approach to help his clients meet their fitness goals.
