Dr. Sheppard completed his degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. After University Dr. Sheppard went on to study at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College graduating with a doctorate of Chiropractic Degree.
While at Western he was a member of the Varsity Rowing team. He is no stranger to high performance training and racing, competing at the provincial and national level for the UWO rowing team. Along with his academic training as a Kinesiologist and Chiropractor, Kris has 10 years of Coaching and Strength & Conditioning experience. Most notably, he coached the UWO novice Team and was head coach at the London Rowing Club. In the past few years, Dr. Sheppard has turned his attention to triathlon and has competed in a variety of triathlons and road races.
Dr. Sheppard has a passion for health and fitness and takes a creative approach to helping his clients achieve their goals, by combining the knowledge from his training as a Chiropractor and Kinesiologist with his own experience in high performance training. He has a patient-centered and functional approach to therapy and training, He assesses weaknesses in movement patterns and uses corrective exercise and therapy to build a strong foundation for healthy living and athletic performance. Dr. Sheppard enjoys treating people of all ages, athletes & non-athletes alike with various muscle or joint injuries ranging from acute or repetitive overuse strains to supportive therapy for chronic reoccurring conditions. Dr. Sheppard uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to address dysfunctional joints and muscles of the body, including Chiropractic manipulation, muscle release therapy, Graston, Corrective exercise and pain reducing therapies such as laser, ultrasound, and electrical muscle stimulation.
